Jo is a highly experienced and successful public affairs and campaign practitioner, with extensive senior political and private sector consulting experience.

She’s worked as a researcher in opposition and as a senior advisor in central and local government. She has managed issues and policy development across various portfolios, and provided strategic advice to Prime Ministers, senior Ministers, the Mayor and Chief Executive of Wellington City.

Her campaign pedigree is unparalleled in New Zealand politics. She has managed the last five election campaigns for the New Zealand National Party playing a key role in securing victories in the last four. She has also overseen many by-elections, local government and issues campaigns.

Jo has also spent considerable time in the private sector successfully assisting businesses and organisations with their stakeholder and government relations requirements.

Jo has a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Government (Public Policy) from Victoria University of Wellington and a Certificate in Public Relations (PRINZ) from Massey University.
